Boudoir Photography with Ashley Ellery.
An implied nude created in studio at Akey Photography Studio 511 (ApS) in Windsor, Ontario. Light in this scene is just window light and a tabletop to bounce some light back and fill some shadows.

Image captured in studio with my Canon 5D Mark II and the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 ART, which is an amazing piece of glass for the price.
Boudoir with Leah at Akey Photography Studio!
Since I first met Leah, I have loved shooting with this girl. Leah always comes prepared to shoot with makeup and hair ready to roll! She is an inspiration and as a photographer, that is golden. Perhaps it is because Leah herself is interested in the photographic arts and is good with her camera and lighting. She understands that a good image takes time and effort.
I love sharing what I have learned, so I always try to pass on something about modeling and/or photography whether it be to my model, assistant or whoever else is assisting on the shoot who is within earshot. It could be posing assistance or something about photography or lighting.
For one of the planned elements of this boudoir shoot, Leah asked beforehand about gels and if I had ever used them, as she was experimenting with gels herself and wanted to see another photographic artist’s take on gel usage. I have a set of gels and I have used them a number of times in the past; my favorite up to this point being a previous studio shoot where I used red and blue gels only (our lovely friend and model Jojo aka Jo-Ann Carrington-Yoell). So I decided to use my gels during this shoot and see what we could create that Leah would be proud of and would hopefully inspire other photographers to use gels in as many ways as possible.
We worked through a number of captures with the gels and then finished off with a separate set using only white light from Alien Bees and the 22″ beauty dish with Leah in Calvin Klein underwear on a painted white wall in my studio. The Calvin Klein underwear shots are my favorite. The lighting is so wonderfully soft, it adds to the quality of desire I wanted to invoke with these boudoir images .. almost an ethereal look, created in studio using artificial light.
All in all a great shoot! It was hard to choose the subset I’ve chosen for you to view. Here are my favorites, which could easily be twice as large but I don’t want this post to take forever to load. 😉
Boudoir Photography at Akey Photography Studio. A selection of samples from a recent studio boudoir photography session with fitness trainer Megan. Captured in my photography studio in downtown Windsor, Ontario.
For this session we used both natural daylight and studio flash. I used a selection of portrait prime and telephoto lenses, including my most recent addition, the Sigma 85mm ART lens which I continue to find reasons to use more and more.

Fashion Photography – Krysta Lynn for Sexylingerieland.com
In fashion photography, the “star” of the photo shoot is the apparel and accessories. We capture fashions so as to highlight their physical qualities and formal appearance. The wardrobe for this particular shoot was lingerie provided by sexylingerieland.
Our model for this set, beautiful Krysta Lynn, whom we have worked with previously. Krysta is friendly, outgoing, fun, has a love for Playboy and has been published in industry magazines. She has also done shoots for Playboy Magazine. Sexylingerieland is Krysta’s sponsor and provides clothing to support promotional shoots.
For this shoot, I used a 4-light glamour setup: 2 strobes to light the background evenly and 2 strip boxes to provide modeling light on Krysta and the sexy lingerie provided by Sexylingerieland.
Below is a gallery of favorites from Krysta’s fashion photography session. If you would like any of the lingerie you see as your own, make your way over to Sexylingerieland.com and check out their line of lingerie.
