Boudoir Photography in the Studio Boudoir Photography is one of the most requested genres of photography I participate in. It is also one of the styles I have practiced most. I don't know of a beautiful woman or handsome gentleman who wouldn't like sensual, desirable and sometimes overtly sexual images for themselves and/or someone special with which they share their closest sensual moments. Every now and then I work with models to create images that I use in my portfolio and in blog posts such as this one. Swimwear Photography – Point Pelee – Shelby Lee

Swimwear Photography with Shelby Lee I like to do as many swimwear photography shoots as possible during the spring/summer seasons. As with many of my beach/swimwear shoots, I love to use Point Pelee National Park. It has many beaches on both east and west sides so morning or evening, the light is useable. We just pick the beach based on sunrise or sunset. My model on this day was Shelby Lee, a gorgeous blonde model who needed images for Maxim's Finest contest. Natural Light Studio Portraits at ApS I recently shot some natural light studio portraits with Natalie. Natalie is a natural beauty, an equestrian who loves the camera. The camera loves her equally. Up until this shoot, I worked with Natalie on location only.  In the Studio Natalie and I met at my studio in downtown Windsor, where we proceeded to shoot a number of high quality portfolio images, from headshots to full body portraits using only the light streaming through my studio windows. Abandoned House in Southern Ontario On a recent drive out to the county, we came across this abandoned house. The Talbot Trail, also known as highway 3, is home to a number of abandoned and decaying houses. This one is on the Talbot Trail just East of Palmyra, Ontario. This is not the Guyitt Homestead but another home west of the Guyitt Homestead. Condition Sharon and I spotted this house on the way to another abandoned house on the Talbot Trail. Cedar Beach with Natalie Cedar Beach is a favorite of mine for Swimwear photography. Natalie and I have worked together for a number of years now. Sandpoint Beach with Nikki Leigh I prefer the views and shooting options of Point Pelee National Park. However, Sandpoint Beach is an okay local option, only 15-20 minutes from downtown Windsor. Natural Light Portraits - A Walk with Megan I recently photographed local model Megan Pickersgill at Brunet Park in Lasalle, ON. When shooting natural light portraits, I prefer to forgo artificial light. I look for slightly overcast or cloudy skies, or natural areas of open shade on days when the sun is not diffused by clouds or a tree canopy. For this shoot, I used no light modifiers or flash.  I worked angles and exposure to get the best light on Megan's pretty face. Boudoir Photography – Megan

Boudoir Photography at Akey Photography Studio. A selection of samples from a recent studio boudoir  photography session with fitness trainer Megan. Captured in my photography studio in downtown Windsor, Ontario. For this session we used both natural daylight and studio flash. I used a selection of portrait prime and telephoto lenses, including my most recent addition, the Sigma 85mm ART lens which I continue to find reasons to use more and more.
