Boudoir Photography in the Studio Boudoir Photography is one of the most requested genres of photography I participate in. It is also one of the styles I have practiced most. I don't know of a beautiful woman or handsome gentleman who wouldn't like sensual, desirable and sometimes overtly sexual images for themselves and/or someone special with which they share their closest sensual moments. Every now and then I work with models to create images that I use in my portfolio and in blog posts such as this one. Boudoir Photography at Akey Photography Studio. A selection of samples from a recent studio boudoir photography session with fitness trainer Megan. Captured in my photography studio in downtown Windsor, Ontario. For this session we used both natural daylight and studio flash. I used a selection of portrait prime and telephoto lenses, including my most recent addition, the Sigma 85mm ART lens which I continue to find reasons to use more and more. Outdoor boudoir on location in summer of 2016. Windsor's own Playboy Plus model and Naked News personality Krysta Lynn, Ray Akey of Ray Akey Photography and Windsor hair artist Wissam Kayal collaborated on an outdoor boudoir photography session conducted at Ojibway Park and Nature Preserve and the Ojibway Prairie. For this session, there were no flashes or reflectors used. This session was captured with Canon 5D Mark II and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens using only sunlight. In fashion photography, the "star" of the photo shoot is the apparel and accessories. We capture fashions so as to highlight their physical qualities and formal appearance. The wardrobe for this particular shoot was lingerie provided by sexylingerieland. Krysta Lynn - Model Our model for this set, beautiful Krysta Lynn, whom we have worked with previously. Krysta is friendly, outgoing, fun, has a love for Playboy and has been published in industry magazines. She has also done shoots for Playboy Magazine. Sexylingerieland is Krysta's sponsor and provides clothing to support promotional shoots. Studio Boudoir with Sarah Boudoir photography doesn't have to be challenging. What started out as "I have a double bed with a duvet in the studio and I can use some sheer curtains as a backdrop," turned into a beautiful, magazine quality boudoir set. Sarah, a local beauty and I planned to get together again and shoot some boudoir images for her image portfolio. Windsor Boudoir Photographer: The Glamour/Boudoir Hybrid Boudoir photography should be alluring, elegant, enticing and full of desire. Typically it is a woman, couple or handsome gentleman in a bed, in various poses and states of undress. Add an elegant boudoir setting, usually a bedroom (where else would you find a bed right?) and you've got boudoir imagery. In contrast, Women in lingerie in locations other than a bed/boudoir/bedroom are typically labelled "glamour." I'll let you be your own judge as to what category you want to place it in.
