Myrissa and I met at my studio to do some dramatic portraits with coloured light gels and a fog machine. The studio portraits we created exhibit a strong sense of drama and mood, achieved through posing, styling, and lighting. Myrissa, my model is centered in the composition, with her pose exuding confidence and emotion. Her various poses progress from a sense of vulnerability to sensuality and strength. Myrissa's style further amplifies this mood, with her black, mesh-detailed dress introducing intricate textures that interact beautifully with my lighting. Check out this Coca-Cola pinup photoshoot with Myrissa Myrissa and I met in the studio for a photo shoot. She brought three or four outfits and this was one of them. A really neat Coca-Cola branded T-shirt that she bought from spencers gifts. I thought this would make a great pinup look, paired with the other accessories and apparel that she chose for the session. Winter Portraits with Jessica at Windsor's Malden Park. Earlier in the week of January 17, 2019, Jess expressed interest in a winter/snow shoot. I thought about locations and decided to give it a go and use Malden Park, which has a beautiful pine/evergreen forest on the rear side of the park. I met Jess at Malden Park to photograph a series of photos in and around the pine trees, using only the light provided by mother nature. I worked with coloured backgrounds and gelled strobes in the studio to create different looks. Gels are used to change the colour of the light striking the model, background and/or both. Fall Colours with Megan Pickersgill For this photoshoot with Megan Pickersgill, we decided on a fall colours photoshoot. The change of colours in the fall is spectacular in Ontario. I worked with Megan a couple of times before. I was very pleased with her modeling abilities. We chose to shoot this set in Brunet Park, located in Lasalle, Ontario. The colours in the park were the most saturated I could find, locally, after scouting several parks. We shot in various areas of the park, trying to find the most colourful spots. A Creative Halloween Photoshoot with Dee I recently worked on a creative halloween photoshoot in my photography studio with Dee Style. Dee was one of the models featured in a previous collaboration titled "Calaveras." Dee is an amazing makeup artist who loves to do costume makeup for conceptual imagery. This time, Dee wanted to do evil clown makeup, so we set a date and agreed to meet at my studio. A Halloween Cosplay Photoshoot with Natalie I recently did a cosplay photoshoot at my studio. If you are a repeat visitor to my blog, you may recognize Natalie Laliberte. I have worked with Natalie a few times. Natalie ordered her costume and we set a date to meet at my studio and do her cosplay photshoot. The plan was to shoot on seamless background paper. After the shoot, I then used Photoshop composite digital imaging techniques and Photoshop to insert Natalie into a more interesting environment. A shoot in Guess Fashion with Ornella One of my most favorite ladies to shoot with, Ornella. She is pleasant, honest and a beautiful woman with entrepreneurial drive. Ornella and I got together in my former studio on Pelissier St. to shoot some fashion images. Ornella brought Guess fashion items to shoot in. She never disappoints with her choices. My former studio was located in the Chelsea Apartments building in downtown Windsor. It had an upright piano and two large antique windows. The Bus Graveyard I am always looking for unique locations to photograph my subject and clients in, on and around. Windsor, Ontario however doesn't have many (in fact very few) grand locations. What Windsor has is a lot of urban spaces, green space and a lot of junk, everywhere. For this photoshoot, we decided to take some junk and shoot something beautiful within.
