Location portraits are a nice change of pace from my studio work. Sometimes, I just want to grab my camera, a model and go and shoot without all the extra gear. This was one of those days.
I always look forward to working with Ashley. She is always fun and we laugh a lot. We got together for a couple of hours to shoot on location as a change from our studio collaborations. It was a cool day but not terribly frigid.
I brought a single Yonguo manual flash, a small octabox in case I wanted to add fill light in backlit situations and my camera bag with camera body and lenses suitable for portraiture and landscape photography.
The chosen locations were the Windsor riverfront and then to another location; a grungy spot under an overpass which Ashley wanted to try out.
I have included a few images below. Not bad for about 45 minutes of shooting!
