Natural Light Studio Portraits at ApS I recently shot some natural light studio portraits with Natalie. Natalie is a natural beauty, an equestrian who loves the camera. The camera loves her equally. Up until this shoot, I worked with Natalie on location only.  In the Studio Natalie and I met at my studio in downtown Windsor, where we proceeded to shoot a number of high quality portfolio images, from headshots to full body portraits using only the light streaming through my studio windows. We have created a portfolio of works and worked on improving her portfolio since her very first foray into modeling. Boudoir Photography – Megan

Boudoir Photography at Akey Photography Studio. A selection of samples from a recent studio boudoir  photography session with fitness trainer Megan. Captured in my photography studio in downtown Windsor, Ontario. For this session we used both natural daylight and studio flash. I used a selection of portrait prime and telephoto lenses, including my most recent addition, the Sigma 85mm ART lens which I continue to find reasons to use more and more. Swimwear Photography in Windsor, Ontario at Akey Photography Studio! My studio has been relocated from West Windsor to downtown Windsor.  DJ Sarah Sabatini contacted me to do a promotional shoot for her business profile. Since the weather is still cold for beach shooting, we decided to shoot in-studio. We got Sarah in the studio and created a series of images with 3-4 different swimsuits to give her a good selection of choices.  Here is one of my favorites, a recent studio swimwear image from the session. Natural Light Portrait – Krysta Lynn in Guess

A fresh natural light portrait of Krysta Lynn in a beautiful dress by Guess, captured in my new studio in Downtown Windsor, Ontario. Also new is a lens added to my collection; the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX DG from the Sigma ART line of lenses. This lens is as heavy as everyone said but it feels great in my hands. The focus ring is large enough for a monkey to maneuver so no problems there. The depth of field is wickedly shallow and the bokeh is absolutely beautiful, melting away even the ugliest background. In fashion photography, the "star" of the photo shoot is the apparel and accessories. We capture fashions so as to highlight their physical qualities and formal appearance. The wardrobe for this particular shoot was lingerie provided by sexylingerieland.  Krysta Lynn - Model Our model for this set, beautiful Krysta Lynn, whom we have worked with previously. Krysta is friendly, outgoing, fun, has a love for Playboy and has been published in industry magazines. She has also done shoots for Playboy Magazine. Sexylingerieland is Krysta's sponsor and provides clothing to support promotional shoots. Lighting Fashion For this shoot, I used a 4-light glamour setup: 2 strobes to light the background evenly and 2 strip boxes to provide modeling light on Krysta and the sexy…

Studio Boudoir with Sarah Boudoir photography doesn't have to be challenging. What started out as "I have a double bed with a duvet in the studio and I can use some sheer curtains as a backdrop," turned into a beautiful, magazine quality boudoir set. Sarah, a local beauty and I planned to get together again and shoot some boudoir images for her image portfolio. When tossing about ideas for location such as our previous shoot at Caesars Windsor we decided on a studio shoot using the double bed I had in studio. Portraits – Ashley

Portraits are always fun! Here are a couple of glamour/personality portraits of Ashley from our recent collaborations to help soothe your day. To create these captures, I used 2 Alien Bees B800 studio strobes, Yongnuo RF-622 triggers/receivers and my trusty Canon 5D Mark II fitted with Canon's image stabilised 70-200mm f/2.8L lens. The lights were flanked on each side of the camera. The key light was placed high and to the left of camera and the second light was used as fill on the right, approximately 1/2 stop less than the key light. Exposure settings: 1/125sec @ f/14 ISO 100
